Cement Prices Drop in Northern Pakistan While Southern Cities Hold Steady

Pakistan’s construction sector receives minor relief as cement prices record small decreases across northern cities. A slight decline in cement prices has been recorded in several northern cities of Pakistan while prices in the southern regions have remained unchanged.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data, northern regions show average cement prices at Rs. 1,390 per 50kg bag, down from last week’s Rs. 1,391. Southern cities maintain consistent pricing at Rs. 1,443 per bag.

Balochistan presents premium pricing with Quetta reaching Rs. 1,510 per bag. Khuzdar follows at Rs. 1,483, reflecting transportation costs to remote areas.

Construction industry experts note these price movements reflect seasonal demand changes. Experts believe that while minor fluctuations will continue, cement prices are likely to stay relatively stable in the short term.

Market analysts suggest current pricing supports ongoing construction projects while maintaining industry profitability. Regional variations continue reflecting local demand patterns and logistics costs.
